Octopus Pair Platter by Miranda Thomas

 One of a series of decorative platters by Miranda showing her favorite creatures in love.  This one features an Octopus couple tangled in a tentacular embrace.  

As frequently happens with our black carved pieces, the iron-rich black slip show great variation within a single piece.  This one ranges from black to red to dark metallic silver on a celadon green base.
